Puno General Information

Location: In the area altiplanica of our country, Puno to 3,812 meters above sea level beside the Lake Titicaca. Located to the south-this of the Peru and frontier with Bolivia, being adjacent with the departments of Madre de Dios, Cusco, Moquegua and Arequipa.

When arriving in city of Puno the majestic Lake Titicaca is observed, highest navigable lake in the world, with a surface 8,562 square kilometers, longitude 176 Km., 50 Km.wide. It's average and their maximum depth being 284 meters. It is the hábitat of native species of fish and birds. Located to 40 Km. of the Puno city, with a diameter of 23 Km².
